The great literary critic, ‘The Book Chook’ has declared ‘Friday Barnes: Girl Detective’ to be one of her ‘Top Book Gifts for Kids’ in 2014.  I hope Santa subscribes to her blog!

The staff at readings.com.au have voted and ‘Friday Barnes: Girl Detective’ is in their Top 10 Best Middle Fiction for 2014. Woo-hoo!

Goes on sale January 1st. Perfect timing for flakey people who do their Christmas shopping a week late.

I just received my author copies of ‘Stories for 8 Year Olds’ which includes the Nanny P story where she ends up making the cake for a royal wedding. With Christmas around the corner it will make a fantastic stocking stuffer, for people with book shaped feet.

I explain to the students why reading books (especially mine) will make you a better person.

Lindy Michaels has just won Barnes & Noble’s District Empolyee Award for her untiring effort to ensure that every single child (and many of the adults) in the Los Angeles area owns a copy of ‘The Adventures of Nanny Piggins’.  She’s sold over 5000 copies so far!  As well as her invaluable support to Nanny Piggins on her recent LA tour.  Lindy acted as driver, navigator, photographer, publicist, opening act and gelato finder.  Thanks to her our trip to the US was a huge success.  Well done Barnes and Noble for recognizing all her hard work.
