Just got my next new book in the post! ASTONISHINGLY GOOD STORIES goes on sale 2nd August 2022. Thank you @becca.king for the beautiful cover illustrations and design. This is a cracking read lots of fairy tales, tall stories and even Greek myths told by Nanny Piggins… oh and a never before published new Friday Barnes mini-mystery.

I am finally leaving the house! There have been so few public events over the last two years but they’re starting to let us authors roam the streets again. On June 25th I’ll be part of a panel for @writingnsw . Check out their Instagram page for all the event details. This one is more for grownup aspiring writers but I’ll be doing some kid focused events soon, when my next book comes out in August.

When attending Vivid it is important to know how to pose for photos so you look your best.

I won the portrait prize at my daughter’s school!!! (The adult category for parents and teachers) I’m so excited about it. I’ve only ever won one award for writing books and I’ve written 26 of those. This was my first crack at a proper portrait (that wasn’t a flying pig or girl detective).
