My ten year old has asked me to stop playing on the equipment because I’m embarrassing.

‘What book is on your bedside table?’ is a common interview question for authors. I never know how to answer because the question presupposes that there is only one.

There are many downsides to having a mother who is an author. One upside is you get the coolest swimming bag at the pool! (Note - my idea of ‘coolest’ may differ wildly to everyone else’s.)

I’ve just been trying to figure out how much touring I’ve done this year. According to my Instagram feed I’ve visited Sydney, Adelaide, Brisbane, Richmond, New York, Boston, Los Angeles, Wellington NZ and the Gold Coast. As well as sponsoring a Potato Race and writing the first book in a new series. And while my husband has been away on tour for 8 weeks. I guess that explains why I’ve been feeling tired.

I was reading NANNY PIGGINS AND THE RIVAL RINGMASTER to the girls tonight. It’s the first time I’ve read it in 8 years, and I was horrified to realise that I am now the same age as Mr Green.
